Privacy Policy

What data we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We also request read-only access to your YouTube channel data and analytics to provide our services.

How we use your data

Your YouTube data is used exclusively to display analytics, generate insights, and power AI-driven recommendations within the app. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.

YouTube API Services and Google User Data

I am Creator uses YouTube API Services. By using our app, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

I am Creator's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely in encrypted cloud databases. API responses are cached temporarily to reduce API usage and improve performance. OAuth tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.

AI processing

When you use AI-powered features (keyword research, title generation, SEO optimization), the specific video metadata required for your request — such as titles, descriptions, tags, and aggregate performance metrics for the videos you select — is sent to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter) depending on your settings.

We do not send OAuth tokens, authentication credentials, or analytics data unrelated to the specific request. These providers process the data under their commercial API terms, which prohibit using customer inputs to train their models. The AI-generated results are returned to I am Creator and shown only to you, the authenticated user who made the request.

Deleting your account and data

You can request permanent deletion of your I am Creator account and all associated data at any time. To do so, send an email from your account's registered address to privacy@iamcreator.io with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm receipt and permanently delete the following within 7 days:

  • Your user profile and authentication records
  • All YouTube channel data, analytics, and cached API responses we hold for you
  • AI-generated insights, saved keywords, and reports linked to your account
  • OAuth tokens (which we also revoke with Google on your behalf)

Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered. Deletion is different from revoking access (see next section): revocation stops us from fetching new data, while deletion removes data we have already stored.

Revoking access

You can revoke I am Creator's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions. Upon revocation, we will delete your stored tokens and cached data.

Analytics

We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for product analytics to understand how features are used and improve the product. No personal data is shared with advertising networks.
